How do I register at City Dental Liverpool?
You can telephone 0151 236 9230 or email to arrange an appointment. You are welcome to join one of our Membership Plans with the added bonus of discounts or you can be a Pay as You Go client.
How will I know if I need any dental work?
At each examination appointment the Dentist will discuss any treatment required .Every client receives a written treatment plan and quotation.
I know I need quite a bit of dental work, how do I pay for my treatment?
We ask all clients to pay as they go along. For treatments over £500 we can offer you finance subject to status which ranges from 0% finance 6 or 12 months, up to 5 years with a usual APR of 7.9%* T&Cs apply.
How much time do I need for my appointments?
We will always tell you how long each appointment is going to be and arrange a convenient time. Most appointments can have you back to work within the hour.
I am very busy and I can't afford to be kept waiting for my appointments.
We endeavour to run on time, if in the event of an unexpected emergency, we will call you to let you know we are running behind, and give you the option to re appoint, or come in at a later time.
Somethings cropped up and I can't make my appointment.
We ask all clients to give us 48 hours notice to cancel appointments.You are able to cancel by phone or email, even at weekends. We do charge for late cancellations.


By giving us notice we are able to give someone else your appointment slot.

I want to pay for my 16 year old to have teeth whitening, is this possible?
As a general rule, we only do teeth whitening if your 18 years plus. However we can treat younger people at the discretion of Dr Wright after a FREE consultation.
I have a dentist near where I live, but would like to come in to have my teeth cleaned, is this possible?

Yes it is possible to attend a ‘hygiene only’ appointment, at this visit Dr Wright will screen your teeth and soft tissues, and if he sees anything that needs attention he will inform you, so you can discuss it with your own dentist.

My mother is in a wheel chair, do you have disabled access?
Yes we do have disabled access from the front door, to the lift, and entry to the practice. We can treat a patient from their chair if they have reduced mobility.


Just let reception know when making the appointment,and we will give you full assistance on arrival.

I had braces when I was younger, and some of my teeth are crooked again, can anything be done?
Yes, we have a number of different cosmetic brace options available for adults, we offer free consultations for cosmetic braces, where you can find out which system is suitable for you, the cost and the likely timescale of treatment.
I have toothache, but I am not registered at City Dental Liverpool, Can you see me ?
Yes, we have a number of emergency appointments available each day. Its best if you call as early in the day as possible so we can offer you a time to suit.
My gums are bleeding every time I brush, do you think I will loose my teeth?
Most people suffer from bleeding gums at some point in their life. We can show you how to maintain good oral health, and to reduce the bleeding, and in most cases make it stop.

However some people are pre disposed to gum disease and may have to attend the practice on a regular basis, to under go a course of treatment tailor made to their requirements.

Are you open weekends?
We are not open for regular appointments at the weekend, but we do open the surgery for dental emergencies evenings and weekends. You can find out contact details for out of hours service on our answer machine.
Are all your staff qualified?
Yes all our staff are qualified and registed with the General Dental Council. You can check out our details on their website.
Are all your instruments disposable?
Where ever possible we use single use instruments.

Some instruments are designed to be re used. We have a designated decontamination room that brings us up to HTM 01 -05 compliance We follow both the General Dental Council and the Quality Care Commission guidelines.

I am really nervous of dental treatment can you help me?

We appreciate that some people are nervous of dental treatment, and it’s usually something from their childhood experiences that has put them off. At the Practice, we offer a sedation service which will help you relax whilst having treatment carried out. Please ask at reception for further details.
